About the CISW
The Coal Industry Society of Wales is a society whose members consist of Owners, Directors and Senior Managers of companies in South Wales that are either directly involved in the production of coal, its use, such as RWEnpower and Tata Steel or its transport such as shipping and haulage companies.
Each year between January and May the Society organises a series of lectures for members of the Society. The lectures vary in subject matter but are primarily strategic subjects relating to the whole of the energy sector as well as the global energy scene.
The Society also has a vibrant social side with a Black tie Dinner Dance in the Autumn, an Annual Business Luncheon in the Spring as well as golf and skittle tournaments.
